Our safeguarding policies and procedures

Safeguarding policy

The Caritas Fiji Safeguarding Policy is designed to protect children, vulnerable adults, and all individuals who engage with its programs and services. It establishes clear standards of behavior and outlines the responsibilities of staff, volunteers, and partners to ensure that everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and care. By embedding safeguarding into all aspects of its work, Caritas Fiji reinforces its commitment to creating safe and inclusive environments.

Code of conduct

The Caritas Fiji Code of Conduct sets clear expectations for ethical behaviour, professionalism, and respect among staff, volunteers, and partners. It guides actions and decision-making to ensure integrity, accountability, and the protection of all individuals involved in its work.

Child safeguarding policy

Our child safeguarding policy has all the standards of behavior we expect from our staff, volunteers, and community members on Caritas Fiji projects in relation to safeguarding of children.

Complaints handling procedure

A strong complaint handling procedure at Caritas Fiji is essential to ensure accountability, transparency, and trust, enabling individuals and communities to safely raise concerns and have them addressed fairly and promptly. It also helps the organisation learn from feedback, improve service delivery, and uphold its commitment to safeguarding and ethical standards.
